Best Buddies is a new project set up by the South Gloucestershire Volunteer Centres to provide support into volunteering for adults with learning difficulties. We are recruiting a small number of volunteers from across South Gloucestershire to work as Buddies. You will need to be available for training for 4 half-day sessions during September/October. Volunteer Centre Yate: Centre Outreach Worker Are you outgoing, confident and interested in community work in the Yate area? We are looking for someone to take the work of the Centre out into the community, as well as placing potential volunteers and giving general information from our office. You need to have your own transport (expenses paid), be a good team member, but also able to work proactively and independently and commit a minimum 4 hours a week during office hours for a year. The work will involve arranging a launch event (with the help of the co-ordinator) and building relationships with local community groups, local authorities and businesses.
