Walking to Health Volunteers
Do you enjoy walking? Could you encourage others to increase
their fitness, by helping to lead walks locally? The South
Gloucestershire Walking to Health team is looking to recruit
more volunteers who can help devise, map and lead walks, as
well as provide support to other walk leaders. You don’t
have to commit to helping at every walk and if you prefer,
you can offer your services as ‘middle’ or ‘back’ markers
rather than front leaders. To volunteer for these roles, you
need to be a competent walker (about 4 miles) and enjoy it!
The team is looking for sociable, approachable people who
are confident at following route maps/instructions and can
attend training.
